How important are Key Opinion Leader discussions at ASCO24 on social media? What's more important, number of tweets, impressions, Likes, retweets, replies, or all of the above? Did my brand or clinical trial win the social media game at the most recent #ASCO?
In the world of Digital Opinion Leaders for a serious disease like lung cancer, each comment by a DOL has value all by itself. Also, if you research the network impact of their tweet, reply, or discussion, you'll realize that their input has a much broader impact than the number of impressions that their tweet produced. Why are these Oncology opinion leaders so special?
The reason is their goal is not to get clicks or tweets, or likes or new followers, Their goals on social media are to share their insights and experiences with their peer oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, and pathologists, and advance the science through their open discussions. So how do you measure which tweets have the most value?
In this example, I provide a network visualization of the Lung Cancer Key Opinion Leader tweet discussion of the HARMONi-A Clinical Trial presented qt #ASCO24. I've also added to the conversation a tweetorial of a Mechanism of Action PrePrint by the manufacturer of ivonescimab, Akesoa BioPharma. In this visualization, you can see how the conversations of clinical trials and new molecules can span months, and even years!. Also, with the helpful use of AI visualization technologies, you can identify the subnetworks and connectors across the key opinion leader community.
In this specific video, I outlined the impact of two key opinion leaders that may have been lost in the crowd due to the noise of ASCO. Dr. Tejas Patil from University of Colorado engaged several lung cancer key opinion leaders with his concerns regarding the HARMONi-A clinical trial including Dr. Bruna Pellini Ferreira from Moffitt Cancer Center, and Dr. Lecia Sequist from Mass General.
The other Key Opinion Leader is Dr. Santhosh Ambika from Cancer Care Specialists of Reno, Nevada. He is a digital opinion leader from a community practice, that is a highly engaged connector and his replies generate thought-provoking interactions with his peers across the global oncology community.

In this example from the network visualization, he was the unique connector linking the recent ivonescimab MOA PrePrint discussion to the Social Network of HARMONi-A engaged physicians.
Please take a look at the demo video and let me know if you have any questions about our AI visualization technologies. This discussion and the social network examples that I share, demonstrate the incredible value that digital opinion leaders offer to the medical and scientific communities.
