Great example of sub-specialty knowledge becoming more democratized with AI

We created myriad sub specialties because we assumed it was impossible for a single human physician to master the knowledge base … but this also created coordination challenges and handoff risks (“we thought ID was managing the PICC”; “endocrinology was managing her insulin dosing”; “cards owns the anti hypertensive titration”)

AI medical information platform
"Access to medical knowledge shouldn't depend on geography," said Daniel Nadler, founder and CEO of OpenEvidence.

That's why OpenEvidence and @AnthropicAI are bringing a specialized version of OpenEvidence, free, to clinicians in about 100 low- and middle-income countries, including Uganda, Angola, Sudan, Haiti, and Mongolia. More here: reuters.com/legal/litigati… ↗

Honored to present our @ASTRO_org #ASTRO2026 Quick Pitch on agentic AI across 14 radiation oncology disease sites. Takeaway: AI shows promise, but physician oversight matters. Grateful to @theabzlab, @troyteo & our @NUFeinbergMed + @NorthwesternEng team. #RadOnc

AI just killed the peer-review. No one reads the papers anymore. Neither reviewers nor editors. It is impossible address issues raised by the AI. They find something wrong in every round of revisions and papers get rejected eventually. This is killing the science itself.

Fewer ID consults, thanks to AI

I call a lot less ID consults now with AI. I just type it all in to the bot and I get the antibiotic duration, whether the line needs to be pulled or not, etc...

Yes, but I do use them a bit (…well, a lot).

I think they work well when you take the time to edit them and use them intentionally. But if AI does everything for you, it sucks.
