The design of the Phase III JCOG2510 (PRIME-CRT) trial is also being highlighted, investigating induction pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy before cCRT and consolidative durvalumab in unresectable locally advanced NSCLC.

“💡Our real-world analysis showed median time to consolidative #immunotherapy of 84 days from CRT start (~42days post-CRT completion) in Stage III #NSCLC (2018-2021). Uninsured, Medicaid, and tx at non-academic independently associated w/ longer time to intiation #ASCOQLTY26”

The breast oncology community views this anthracycline-sparing chemoimmunotherapy as a promising de-escalation strategy, but notes that event-free survival (EFS) data is still immature and the trial did not include a direct comparison to the KEYNOTE-522 regimen.

“💡 Why it matters: An anthracycline-free chemoimmunotherapy strategy improves pCR without a substantial increase in severe toxicity. ⚠️ Caution: EFS remains immature. No direct comparison with KEYNOTE-522. 🎯 Verdict: Promising de-escalation strategy, but not yet a replacement for KEYNOTE-522.”

“If a Her2 positive patient does not respond well to THP-T’dxd its one of 2 things. 1. Its really an aggressive form of TNBC or a very luminal non-Her2 enriched tumor. 2. It’s primary refractory disease, which is quite rare (almost always ER negative) and carries a terrible prognosis.”

The Oct 14, 2026 FDA expansion of Anktiva plus BCG to BCG-unresponsive, high-grade papillary-only NMIBC (see Regulatory above) leads GU news. In VHL disease, Dr. Maite Bourlon noted that belzutifan gained FDA approval five years ago and called for its approval in Mexico.

Dr. Ankit Kansagra highlighted the 41% cardiac response rate in evaluable patients as a key finding, though noted the analysis is descriptive with short follow-up. Separately, Dr. Robert Z. Orlowski shared new IFM 2026 recommendations for first-line newly diagnosed myeloma, which include triplet (DRd) and quadruplet (Isa-VRd, Dara-VRd) regimens, with mathematical modeling projecting a median PFS of 100–205 months.

“92%. 89%. 68%. Those are the pooled hematologic ORRs for CAR-T, bispecifics and belantamab in relapsed/refractory AL amyloidosis, from the Blood Advances analysis Muzaffar flagged (Alqazaqi, Sanchorawala, Al Hadidi and colleagues).”

“1. Cardiac responses in 41% of evaluable pts (49% with BsAb, 40% with CAR-T). In AL the clone is only half the story. The heart is what kills pts, so this number matters more to me than the ORR”

Dr. Michael Dickinson's summary noted a 10.1% CNS relapse rate and highlighted that the MYC/BCL6-rearranged subtype experienced more CNS relapse and rapid progression. Other topics of discussion include updates on targeted therapies for AML, such as menin inhibitors.
